Haldu! I'm Michelle, but most everything else about me changes like whoa so one second I say something and the next it's like "whoa wait a second I guess not anymore whelp!" So I'll just say I love talking to people! :D

So these days I've been living a Harry Potter appreciation life, which is kind of self-explanatory, but usually my life and its vast reserves of appreciation are dedicated to Homestuck, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Supernatural, also Harry Potter duh! Hee, lots of random things. So many random things. All the random things!

It's difficult to say all the random things, is that even a quantitative thing? well it is now.

I can be a stupid lousy goddamn supportive friend anyday of the week~!

So please venture forth in my general direction, brother, I have fraternal activities I hope to enjoy with you. :D

Borra Fanfiction > Born to Die [Drabble Series]

korralations:

Prompt: Lots of Borra reqests.

Rating: T for themes.

Word Count: 1,435

A/N: This did not turn out how I wanted to at all, but I thought I’d post it anyway. It’s really not good. At all. Anyway. I apologize in advance.

And you should LISTEN TO THIS SONG while reading.

There is some wonderful fanart from Drabble V: The Caretaker HERE. It’s beautiful!

I. Born to Die

“I was born to die,” she says, smiling gently up at him. “And I was born because another died.”

“Don’t think like that,” Bolin replies, stroking her hair, her head on his chest.

“It’s nothing to think on. It’s the way it is.”

She exhales deeply at his silence, hand clenching the one that he’s not using. She brings it up to her mouth, kissing his large, pale hand.

“Rest assured, though. I’m replaceable, and the world knows that.”

He seems to pause again. Thinking about it, perhaps. That maybe it bothers her more than he realizes. And why wouldn’t it? The world grieves, but they’re looking for her again. Not her. Because she’s right. In a way, she’s utterly replaceable in the eyes of everyone else. Not in his, though. There’ll be no replacing her.

Yeah, I know. This photo is stupid. Ironic B-boy posturing is rarely amusing to me, but I came back from color correction to find the studio empty, closed early for Memorial Day weekend. I put this hat on Kevin Coppa’s puppet, and one thing led to another…
RANDOM END-OF-THE-WEEK MUSINGS
–Sorry, it is true that there is no new episode airing this weekend. But a new Korra will be on next Saturday, June 2nd. And it’s a doozy. A REAL DOOZY. In the meantime, Nick.com wanted me to let you all know they made a playlist where you can watch the first seven episodes online, in case you need to catch up, or convert friends, family, babysitters, family pets, etc. Here’s the link: http://at.nick.com/Lv4P9O
–As some of you may know, Korra has been the number one show with teen audiences in the U.S. for some of these first seven episodes. As previously mentioned, I don’t put too much stock in ratings, but this is mind-blowing to me. How is a Saturday morning “cartoon” beating out prime time network shows like American Idol, Glee, The Voice, and Family Guy with teen audiences? We’re all surprised, honored, and baffled. My guess is that the 12-year-olds who were growing up on Avatar are now 16-year-olds, and Korra has sort of aged up right along with them. Whatever the reason, thanks!
–Mike and I love you guys, but we don’t take requests. We make the best show we can, telling the stories we want to tell, and then we put it out there in the world. By the time you guys see it and have “all the feels” and/or get all mad at stuff, we are working on something far, far ahead of that. It may not always go the way you want it to, but at least it is honest art, straight from our hearts. And a lot of these reactions may turn out to be knee-jerk ones in the long run, once you see where the stories and characters go. I’d rather do that than make some watered down “design by committee” thing that attempted to please everyone. If it were up to the majority of the audience, we’d probably have a show where Tahno and the Cabbage Merchant play beach games on Ember Island for 500 episodes… In short, as you guys say, I REGRET NOTHING.
–This is funny, but it never happened. I’m vegan.
–And lastly, my favorite quote from Mike this week, commenting on a cool, momentous shot from the Book 1 finale, addressing the whole fandom: “GIF that and put it on yer Tumblr.” HA!
Have a great, long weekend!
Love,
Far-from-perfect-Bryan

“GIF THAT AND PUT IT ON YER TUMBLR” omg
In all seriousness though, y’all are the greatest creators/writers we could ever ask for. Man, I wish fans would get over their entitlement. Just keep doing what you’re doing- it’s fantastic, and the heart you put into it really shows.

This is just wonderful. Sometimes I feel so grateful for the kind of creators we have (GIF THAT AND PUT IT ON YER TUMBLR - I REGRET NOTHING - ALL THE FEELS - Yes, I’m having ALL OF THEM, by the by).To use some more Tumblr-speak: Haters gonna hate, shippers gonna ship and wankers gonna wank.“honest art, straight from our hearts” is simply priceless.

“The concept of portraying evil and then destroying it - I know this is considered mainstream, but I think it is rotten. This idea that whenever something evil happens someone particular can be blamed and punished for it, in life and in politics, is hopeless.”
—Hayao Miyazaki

One of my very favourite recurring themes in Miyazaki’s work - especially in Spirited Away - is how the grotesque and initially threatening reveals itself to be benign and even compassionate. It’s so beautiful, and a lot more meaningful than the typical good-evil/black-white dichotomy of other mythology.

I would never unfollow anyone for posting personal stuff. Tumblr is a place to get out your feelings not bottle them up inside and pretend like you are okay.

In ancient times, Human and Beast Digimon were always fighting each other. Then, an Angel Digimon called Lucemon appeared and stopped the fighting.

However, the peace didn’t last long. Lucemon, who ruled over the Digital World, became an oppresive ruler, and made the Digimon suffer.

That’s when ten warriors rose up against Lucemon and finally defeated him after a fierce battle.
